Biography:
I am Coach Shelly Sobek and I have been coaching for Lake City High School since 2018, and have been coaching club swimming since 2004. I also teach Special Education at LCHS. I have been the head coach of LCHS since 2019, and have enjoyed watching numerous athletes go through my program and learn how to be accountable, successful and good teammates. Our team has seen success at the state level in both team championships but also as Academic Champions as well. I am proud of the time, effort and respect that my athletes have for our team. I have 2 daughters that have grown up swimming and a husband with 20 years of swim coach experience as well, so we are involved in many areas of swimming in and outside of LCHS. I look forward to each season as a new opportunity to help teenage athletes find a love for the sport of swimming and grow in their character and connections and relationships with their peers and coaches.
